Carer Criteria
Our Professional Nannies
At Milestonz Nannies we only register nannies who meet the following criteria:
- those who have had at least 2 years full-time experience as a Nanny or as a childcare worker (this requirement ensures we are able to conduct verification of experience);
- Our exceptions to this 2 year rule applies only to Rangi Ruru Nanny College nannies and to NNEB qualified nannies. These nannies are able to register with us after
12 months experience!
- have a Federal Police Clearance from their latest country of residence;
- the Working with Children Check
(Blue Card in Qld) - applicable to Queensland or NSW candidates;
- a First Aid Certificate which must be kept current;
- a current Health Statement from their regular doctor;
- can provide at least 2 verifiable and relevant references;
- personally attend an interview and complete our comprehensive application form;
- have a stable work history - all gaps in employment are questioned;
- can provide all required documents to Milestonz International within one month of the date of
interview or arrange to apply for an extension.

Our "Star Mums"
- Our star mums are a special group of nannies, who have raised their own children and are
now ready to take on a role as a nanny;
- They must have a current First Aid Certificate, a Health Clearance and a Police
Clearance
- Star Mums also need to have at least 2 positively
verifiable references
Our Mothercraft Nurses
Our Mothercraft Nurses have specialised training and/or experience in Post Natal Care.
They will assist mums of newborns and are particularly helpful with multiple birth situations. Mums
can expect the expert help with the following:
- breastfeeding including attachment, supply and demand, twin feeding, expressing, nipple care,
mastitis etcetera;
- settling techniques;
- advice and support on weaning techniques;
- introduction to solids including food preparation and hygiene;
- caring for infants with colic/gastro-oesophageal reflux;
- routine from newborn to 2 years;
- developmental milestones both physical and cognitive;
- parent education, support and empowerment.

Our Aged Carers
Aged Care Workers (qualified) or Personal Assistants - Aged Care (Australia only)
- Our Aged Care Workers are qualified and experienced candidates who are able to
professionally care for the elderly in their own homes. As a minimum, these candidates have completed
a certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care Work) and have at least 6 months experience as a carer.
- Our Personal Assistants - Aged Care will assist the elderly with daily living chores such as
light housework, shopping or taking them to their appointments.
- Our Personal Assistants have at least 12 months experience in
elderly, disability or palliative care. These candidates may also be mums who have raised their own
children or cared for their own elderly relatives. These candidates do not necessarily possess
any formal qualifications.
Personal Assistants - General (Australia only)
- Our Personal Assistants - General are candidates who are experienced as nannies,
babysitters, other in-home care, elderly care workers, secretaries, personal assistants,
university students etc. These candidates are screened for Police Clearance, Health Clearance,
a stable work and personal background, excellent communication skills, ability to drive, positive
referees' reports etcetera.
- Personal Assistants - General, will assist busy people with general personal chores such as
shopping, booking personal and professional appointments, diary maintenance, receptionist/office
help for small business/home business owners, bill payments, organising household maintenance staff,
deliveries and all those tasks you would love help with.
